Postmortem

  1. Overall the Jam went rather mediocrely, to be honest. I was definitely out of practice as, over the summer, I was focusing on software other than Unreal, so a lot of time was spent refamiliarizing myself with unreal during the Jam. Though on the plus side, this was a good way to remember where everything was before I started working on a more serious project for the rest of this semester. As for how the game turned out, it is objectively bad, but I was not really expecting much from it, and I ended up in a bit of a time crunch at the end, so there is definitely a lot missing from it, but it is at least functional.
  2. Overall I spent around 5-8ish hours though a good chunk of that was spent trying to remember how to do things in Unreal.
  3. The part of making a game I definitely need help with creating a game would be the sound and visual aspects of it. As I have little experience with sound, and while I have more knowledge on the art side, I could still use a fair bit of work on it.
  4. As for what I would like to work on for my next Jam would be a higher focus audio, as it was something I did not get around to working on for this Jam.
